The Course Engagement Questionnaire is for students to look back on “whether they have learned well” in each class and to lead to their own growth. At the same time, by listening to frank opinions about lessons and education, we intend to improve teachers’ lessons and university education.
Course Engagement Questionnaire
Overview of the Course Engagement Questionnaire
The Course Engagement Questionnaire will be conducted for about one month after each class time (in principle, at the end of the term (at the end of the quarter for courses offered by the quarter system)). After that, the teacher in charge of each class will comment on your opinion and it will be published on the syllabus.
LACS cannot directly enter the Course Engagement Questionnaire. Please access from the NU-Web Academic Affairs Information System . Please check here ( English version is here ) for the access answer method.
Policy to look back on the Course Engagement Questionnaire
- It will be conducted in all classes.
- Your answer will not affect your grades.
- Answers are accumulated as data for each individual student and can be used for reviewing learning.
- In classes of 6 or more, all answers will be anonymized or statistically processed before being communicated to the instructor. At that time, you will never be informed of who gave which answer.
- In a small class of 5 or less, in principle, the answer results will not be disclosed to the teacher in charge of the class to ensure confidentiality. However, if there is a request from a student, it will be disclosed anonymously to the instructor in charge of the lesson.
- Statistics on the Course Engagement Questionnaire and comments from the instructors in charge of the lessons will be published on the websites of the university and each faculty / graduate school, as well as in various booklets. However, the answers in the free text box regarding class improvement will be open only to the teacher in charge of the class.
- Results of The Course Engagement Questionnaire will be analyzed and utilized together with other individual student data for the purpose of improving the education of the university. It will not be used for any other purpose.
